7-Eleven Japan Releases Pokemon Poké Ball Onigiri

The Pokemon Company is planning a special tie-in with 7-Eleven in Japan.

Starting from November 18, 2022, 7-Eleven will be offering specially packaged onigiri rice balls in celebration of the upcoming newest installment in the Pokémon video game franchise, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Three different onigiris, packaged to look like Poké Balls which are used in the games to capture Pokemon in the wild, will be available, each with a unique flavor: Poke Ball (pork sausage, garlic, mayonnaise), Great Ball (omelet, chicken, ketchup), and Ultra Ball (pork, egg, soy sauce)

The Poké Ball onigiri is priced between ¥151 and ¥172. All three went on sale on November 18, making them an affordable and quick bite to eat before playing the much anticipated Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which came out the same day.
